Boba Blast

This design is one of my personal favorites. The inspiration behind it also brought me closer to RSVLTS Creative Director John Tramutolo, as we bonded over our shared love of art.

I told John the piece was inspired by one of my favorite RSVLTS designs and that I wanted to capture a similar vibe. Coincidentally, I had already finished the design in anticipation of pitching the idea. When John later reached out looking for “something abstract” for San Diego Comic Con, I sent it over and received an enthusiastic “hell yeah.”

Since it was one of my earliest designs, I was also learning how to create seamless repeating patterns. Bright greens, deep reds, and stark black outlines define the piece while maintaining balance within the chaos.

Originally released as a convention exclusive, the design was later sold on the company’s website for everyone to enjoy.
